World War 2 bomb near George Clooney’s home

A small cache of World War 2 explosives has been discovered close to George Clooney’s summer villa in Italy. The explosives, which includes a mix of weaponry like grenades and mortars, were discovered only 14 metres away from the property, where they were found by local fishermen in a lake.

Explosive experts closed down the area and brought out the cache using a specialist diving team. They then safely detonated all the items in a secure location believed to be a local cave. The bombs needed to be handled carefully due to the fragile nature they were in from being left in the water for up to 60 years.
