Nazi photographs sell at auction for £1,700

Recently we brought you the story of a set of Nazi photographs which were unveiled at Allestree Hall in Derbyshire. The collection included very rare prints of Adolf Hitler.

We have recently learned that the entire collection, as well as the film and camera which were used, have been sold at auction for a total of £1700.

The album featured previously never seen before photographs of German troops performing the “goose-step” march in front of the Nazi high command.

Hanson’s Auctioneers were commissioned to auction the set last month and it is believed that the buyer was a German doctor who is fascinated with the period.

It had been expected that the items would be sold for around the £500 mark, yet there was much interest in them and as a result, the value heavily exceeded all prior expectations.
